Svetlana Minevich is the Founder, Shareholder, and Principal Attorney of Minevich Law Group, P.C. She concentrates her practice on Federal No-Surprises Act arbitration, New York and New Jersey surprise billing arbitration, workers’ compensation collection, and health law.
Svetlana makes it her priority and focuses on providing her clients with creative, direct, and practical solutions to complex legal matters in a timely and efficient way. Svetlana is a passionate and driven advocate who has devoted her time and efforts to mastering the law. Svetlana tirelessly and zealously builds trust and long-standing relationships with her clients, who rely on her counsel, representation, negotiation, and advocacy to forge speedy, practical paths to move forward. Under the Federal No Surprises Act and State Surprise Billing arbitrations, Svetlana won thousands of arbitration awards and recovered millions of dollars for medical providers. Svetlana also achieved successful outcomes through state litigation and mediation processes.
Prior to starting the firm, Svetlana served as General Counsel to a medical provider of Intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring (IONM) and its management services organization (MSO). Her role as General Counsel straddled legal and business issues, from advising management on healthcare compliance matters, litigation, employment law, lobbying efforts, and insurance law to spearheading Federal No Surprises Act arbitration, New York Surprise Bill, and New Jersey Surprise Bill arbitration efforts to increase revenue for the medical provider.
Svetlana holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing Management from Baruch College. She earned her Juris Doctor from Touro University Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She is admitted to practice in the State of New York and the State of New Jersey, as well as federally in The United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and The United States District for the District of New Jersey. Svetlana is a member of the American Bar Association, American Health Law Association, Nassau County Bar Association, Suffolk County Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, Health Law Section of New York State Bar Association, Trusts and Estates Law Section of New York State Bar Association, Elder Law Section of New York State Bar Association, and New Jersey State Bar Association.
